Officials from Dublin and the school district told thestatde they’re using the money to replace vehiclesz with lower-emission alternatives.
Dublin plans to replac e eight 1999- or 2000-model short-haul diesel while the school district is using its grant to replacr 15 buses producedin 1990. Projects that receivefd awards are required to put up at leastr 20 percent of the cost inmatching funds. The grant prograk looks specifically at public and private diesel equipment owners in Ohio countie s that fall short of air quality The largest grant among the 16 went to the and to refi four locomotives withnew engines.
