The infill percentage is a significant increases from the period between 2001and 2004, when it made up 19 percen of total development. Since then, projects such as Globe at 1801L St., and the 40 Acres project have transforme d neighborhoods. And many projects are taking a lead role in gree n building andsustainable development. The reporf notes, however, that infill developers still face a number ofsignificanyt barriers, including obsolete high construction costs and land prices, community resistance and complicated regulations.
