The newly renovated two-story home, located at 204 W. Lorrainer Ave., marks the first step in an initiative to transforkm urbanneighborhoods “one green home at a time,” as the project’sw marketing materials state. The home was purchased for $100,00 and underwent $50,000 in refurbishmentz and energy-efficiency improvements, said David Borinsky, a managing membetr of Bridge Private Lending, a lender basedr in Towson. Bridge Private Lending expects the home to sell for up to The firm teamed upwith A+ Neighbhorhood Homebuyers, a Baltimore-based real estats investment firm, on the project. The house is the firsg to be completed as part of thegreen campaign.
Bridge Private Lending is renovating sevenm other housesin Baltimore. Some of the innovationes includerecycled wood, Energy Star appliances and fixtures, solarr venting and tubing and recycled insulation. “Through this we can make our communitty livableand sustainable,” said Baltimore Mayor Sheilsa Dixon during a press conference at the house.
